President Obama Annouces $2.4 Billion in Grants For Advanced Battery Technology

Commenting on the news Eric R Dix, Founder of Innovation Associates stated,

"The announcement today of the single largest investment ever made in advanced battery technology for hybrid and electrical vehicles is a watershed event for the United States both in terms of battery technology and manufacturing capability.  For the first time a recognition of the importance of world class manufacturing in advanced battery technology in the United States has been made.  This marks a tremendously overdue turning point in stopping the shipment of critical battery technologies and manufacturing overseas."
